MVR vertical roller mill for cement grinding
New follow-up order for Gebr. Pfeiffer in Kenya
Mombasa Cement, a long-standing customer, has chosen Gebr. Pfeiffer as their supplier for the third time.
Mombasa Cement already operates two cement mills from Gebr. Pfeiffer. In January 2016, the customer signed a contract for a vertical mill of the type MVR 3750 C-4 for the Tororo plant in Uganda. In June of the same year, this customer, who has an exceptional appreciation for high-quality technology, decided on a ready2grind with an MVR 1800 C-4 and thereby launched the extremely successful story surrounding Gebr. Pfeiffer’s modular system. The system was set up and put into service in Vipingo, Kenya, within a very short period of time.
Mombasa Cement is currently building its second kiln line at the Vipingo, Kenya, site. They once again decided on Gebr. Pfeiffer for this line and have also ordered an MVR 3750 C-4 for the production of cement. The mill has a drive power of 2,900 kW to produce 150 tph of OPC. Delivery will take place in the context of close cooperation between the customer, the Indian branch of Gebr. Pfeiffer and the headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The design being identical to that of the mill in Uganda provides numerous advantages for the customer in terms of set-up, maintenance and the supply of spare parts.
This order is a further example of the successful and sustainable partnerships that customers enjoy with Gebr. Pfeiffer.
