On 2 April 2024, the Lord Mayor of the City of Kaiserslautern, Ms Beate Kimmel, visited Gebr. Pfeiffer SE. It was important to her to gain an insight into the technology and machinery that are exported from Kaiserslautern all over the world.
Ms Kimmel was impressed by the success of the innovations that Gebr. Pfeiffer has achieved in the areas of efficiency and sustainability. The company is thus making a significant contribution to the reduction of CO2 and the implementation of sustainability strategies in the cement industry.
The collaboration with the Kaiserslautern-based German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) has impressed her. The pioneering results of this co-operation complement the digital tools of Gebr. Pfeiffer. These technologies are an important additional element for increasing efficiency and sustainability in the building materials industry.
Ms Kimmel was also delighted with the cooperation between Gebr. Pfeiffer and the Kaiserslautern start-up Greenable. Together, the scope of the existing corporate carbon footprint was expanded to include Scope 3 and thus indirect emissions in the value chain, making Gebr. Pfeiffer a pioneer in the industry.
