MPS vertical roller mill for pet coke grinding
Wonder Cement orders 8th mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer
Wonder Cement belongs to a family-owned company located in Udaipur/India, which is engaged in the cement sector in addition to a wide range of business activities.
Since 2010, Gebr. Pfeiffer has already supplied seven vertical roller mills for grinding cement, raw material and petroleum coke to Wonder Cement. Due to the customer's good experience with Pfeiffer products, the company now decided to order another vertical roller mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer.
This is a vertical mill of the type MPS 3070 BK for grinding petroleum coke and coal.
As Wonder Cement is starting the expansion of its cement plant in Tehsil Nimbahera in the district of Chittorgarh, the customer is again relying on the long-standing, good business relationship based on partnership for the award of the coal mill. In Tehsil Nimbahera, the fourth rotary kiln with a daily capacity of approx. 8,000 tons is to be operated with petroleum coke and/or coal as fuel. Gebr. Pfeiffer will supply an MPS mill for grinding the fuel.
The fuel for the kiln will be ground in an MPS 3070 BK. The throughput rate for pure petcoke grinding is 40 t/h with a product fineness of 2% R 90 µm.
The mill can grind coal, petroleum coke, as well as all mixtures of these two materials, dry them with process gases, and then classify them in the integrated classifier.
The mill will be equipped with an SLS 2900 BK classifier, a high-performance classifier of the latest generation. Due to the high abrasiveness of Indian coal, the mill and classifier will be designed with a correspondingly robust wear protection.
Most of the components of the coal mill will be manufactured by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd. Thus, the housing and foundation parts, the grinding bowl and a large part of the force-transmitting parts will be manufactured in India.
Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2021.
Commissioning of the entire kiln line with the new grinding plant is scheduled for spring 2022.
